Google Bard now includes citations and concise summaries in the responses.

Google bard can now provide more authentic and classic citations in its answers and is also able to better summarize. Jack Krawczyk, a Google employee, shared a few examples of these enhancements and improvements on Twitter.

Citations improved. Google Bard now displays sources, with numbers like real citations next to responses. Click on the numbers and you will see the source of the information. “Bard now helps you identify the parts of a reply that match a specific source. You’ll notice numbers next to the responses that have sources. Concise summaries.

Why we care.

Citations, links to sources and other web-related issues are of great concern to publishers and the entire web ecosystem. Google has updated its Google Bard to include more links. Also, better summarizations with improvements to the LLMs Google has is useful and exciting to see, especially over time.Postscript.

I have found some examples of citations. They are difficult to find, and not as good as Bing chat just yet. According to Wayback Machine, the page Bard refers to no longer exists.
